Ionic Doorway

The program for this project was simple: create a doorway in the Ionic mode, with the simpler Tuscan order governing the wall. I used the Ionic of Palladio, with the Tuscan wall denoted by the simplicity of the brick and the use of only a cornice, rather than a full entablature. The fully expressed Ionic columns, surmounted by lamps, create a visual emphasis on the point of entry to this building.
